How to Create Origami Animals (FB live)
This video was part of a homeschool club I ran on FB Live earlier this year. It gives you a simple introduction to origami and is suitable for beginners, including younger children. To make the animals you will need square sheets of paper. I will show you how to make the paper square if you have A4, so no need to worry about buying origami paper. Use the designs to create your own animals too! You might be able to use the origami silhouette and change it to be a different animal to the ones I show you today :) Most of all enjoy! 30 Days Creative pom pom making
As part of our 30 Day challenge 2021, this video shows you how to make a two-colour pom pom the traditional way, with a card hoop made from a cereal box. There's no end to the way you can use pom poms, so get creative and think about what you could make - maybe a pom pom animal? how about a garland of pom poms instead of bunting? Or why not try to make a decoration for your bedroom door?! We'd love to see what you get up to, so please share! www.cygninicrafts.com www.facebook.com/cygninicrafts
Learn to stitch
In this video, Debbie from Cygnini Crafts shows you step-by-step how to do three easy stitches to get you started - running stitch, blanket stitch and over stitch. We would recommend watching first, and then you could sew-along with Debbie and get plenty of practise! Use a scrap of fabric and practise the stitches before attempting your own projects. A simple lavendar bag is a great way to start and the perfect way to use the lavender from the garden if you have any! 30 Days Creative Origami stars
Get creative with these cute little origami stars! Perfect for table decorations all year round and so easy to make! Use different papers to create the effect you need and different widths too to make bigger or smaller stars. For an interesting twist, why not write a positive message on the paper before you fold and fill a jar with stars for every day. Open a star to reveal the message!
